Greenway Days is celebrated in more than 10 communities with over 20 events along the 100 mile Mountains to Sound Greenway. Choose your destination! Click on the community to see the events happening in celebration of the Mountains to Sound Greenway, or join in the Greenway Challenge, an all-summer scavenger hunt. Thorp
Thorp WalkSaturday June 28th
|
Celebrate Greenway Days’ most easterly point by taking this 6.2 mile walk with a 3.1 mile extended option. The walk makes two loops through the town of Thorp and on the John Wayne Pioneer Trail in Iron Horse State Park. Walk through Ice Pond Park and the grounds of the Historic Thorp Mill. Take time to tour the mill – free but donations are appreciated. Register at Thorp High School between 8:00am-1:00pm Saturday, and from 9:00am-12:00pm on Sunday. Details and Directions |

Cowboy RendezvousSaturday June 28th |
Don’t miss Cle Elum’s exciting tribute to Western Lifestyle. Cheer for your favorite competitor in Saturday’s Horse Pull and then visit the Saturday evening cookout, sing-along & bonfire. Cle Elum/South Cle Elum WalkSaturday June 28th

Walk through South Cle Elum and on the John Wayne Trail – Iron Horse State Park to the restored Milwaukee RR depot on this 6.2 mile walk with a 3.7 mile extended option . Tour the grounds of the depot and then walk to Cle Elum, up to the Laurel Hill Cemetery and down through town including the Carpenter house museum before returning to Fireman’s Park. Snoqualmie Pass
Mountains to Sound Relay
Sunday June 29th
|
Join 200 teams, 50 pairs teams and 75 Iron Solos in the 3rd Annual Mountains to Sound Relay. Beginning at Snoqualmie Pass, the event consists of a 23 mile mountain bike ride, a 50 mile road bike ride, a 12 mile canoe/kayak, ½ Marathon and 6 mile sprint to the finish line at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle. Bridging Futures Information BoothSaturday, June 28th Sunday, June 29th

Stop by the Red Mountain Café at Snoqualmie Pass to learn about the Washington State Department of Transportation’s efforts to establish safe and vital wildlife corridors along I-90 Snoqualmie Pass. Pick up key information about the I-90 project and learn about future plans to enhance this important east-west corridor for the safety and enjoyment of motorists and wildlife. Winners of the Bridging Futures Art and Essay Contest will also have their work displayed. |

Geoteaming at Rattlesnake LakeSaturday, June 28th

Rattlesnake Mountain Traverse Hike

hike with 3000 feet gain in elevation.

Cedar River Watershed ToursSaturday June 28th |
Visit the Cedar River Watershed Education Center and listen to water drops play the drums. Explore the interactive exhibits and learn about Seattle's water supply. Sign up for a naturalist led bus tour into the protected boundaries of the Cedar River Municipal Watershed on Saturday from 9:30-11:00 or 1:00-2:30. Bike Ride from Rattlesnake Lake to Snoqualmie PassSaturday June 28th

Join ride leader Norm Tjaden for a 30 mile, gentle grade ride from
Rattlesnake Lake to Snoqualmie Pass and back on the scenic John Wayne Pioneer
Trail. Bring lunch and water. Meet in the Rattlesnake Lake parking area
at 10:00am for a 10:30 start. Riders will regroup occasionally and will be
responsible for their own repairs.

early railroading from North Bend or Snoqualmie on a vintage train ride to
the top of Snoqualmie Falls. Visit the
museum at the Snoqualmie Depot from 10:00am-5:00pm both days to learn more

Fall City
Fall City to Rattlesnake Lake Bike RideSaturday June 28th
|
Join ride leader Jim Taylor on this 30 mile, beautiful and hilly ride from Fall City to Rattlesnake Lake. Riders will visit the Cedar River Watershed Education Center and have a food stop before returning via North Bend. The pace will be set at 12-14 mph on level ground. Riders will regroup occasionally and will be responsible for their own repairs. This route includes 6 miles of hard pack dirt trail, road bikes are OK. Issaquah Salmon Hatchery Fin Days

Learn about our watershed and the salmon that swim its waters! FREE hands-on activities and demonstrations in our Watershed Science Center for children and adults. Join docents for 30-minute Hatchery tours at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Hatchery hours are 9:00am-5:00pm both days. Posters and other give-aways from Dept. of Fish and Wildlife will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery will host an open house and ceremony to celebrate the installation of a solar power demonstration project on Saturday, June 28, 2:00 PM.
