Microsoft Blackberry RemovalThere are several different ways for people to be involved in the Greenway Volunteer Program.

Most people--including adults, youthgroups and families--participate in a one day Trees & Trails project to improve a trail or restore a natural area

Programs for Young People and Students

The Greenway accepts students who want to enhance their coursework with community service to earn academic credit.  These service learning students come from local middle and high schools, the University of Washington, Bellevue Community College, and other colleges.

High School seniors looking for a more intense project or leadership opportunity have completed senior projects on Greenway-related issues.

While troops or individual scouts are welcome to sign up for projects anytime, we also work with older scouts to create leadership projects for the Girl Scout Gold Award or Eagle Scout.

In the summer, young people ages 13-18 volunteer with Mountain Works.  They camp in the backcountry for up to a week building trails, make new friends, learn about environmental issues, and earn community service credit.
