Eagle Scouts
The Greenway Trust offers rigorous projects for self-motivated Life Scouts who wish to do a Leadership Service Project.
In 2007 we may have several projects available--tree planting, trail work, and other possibilities throughout the year. In October we will start planting trees again and can use several scouts. Many of the project opportunities do not appear on our web site. Interested scouts should follow this process to express an interest in a Greenway project.
- Download and complete an application (.doc).
- Email it the Volunteer Program: volunteer@mtsgreenway.org.
- The application will be brought to the project managers and, if there is a suitable match, s/he will contact the scout to propose a project. There is no guarantee that we will have a project that meets any scouts needs in terms of timing or project preference. Scouts are free to continue to search for other project opportunities after they have submitted their application. Greenway project managers will keep every application on file (until the scout turns 18) and call any scout they feel would be a good match for the projects they are developing.
- Please contact Amanda Stanton with any questions by email or at 206-812-0122.
Additional Requirements
* Scouts must attend at least one regular Greenway volunteer project before their event. This may be done at any time, but preferably in the 4 weeks preceeding their Leadership Service Project.
